From loose watercolors to final print.
From loose elements and design motifs to final print.
…That’s one of my favorite ways to work, especially with designs that involve watercolor.
Creating the elements separately and then building the final layout in Adobe Photoshop (or Illustrator) brings freedom and certainly an element of surprise to the process. Mistakes turn into happy accidents, the pressure to create the perfect motifs makes room for playful explorations and experiments with paint and water.
These loose blooms now belong to the 10x10 Vintage Boutonnière, and the 16x24 Spring Florals prints, both licensed with Mpix.
