On to a new adventure

Much has happened in 2020, for us and for everyone.

It’s been a dream a few years in the making now, embarking on a new adventure and takeing our family across the country from Portland, Oregon to the Smoky Mountains in North Carolina.

We got so close to getting a home, and almost made the move at the beginning of 2020. But as Covid happened, in the middle of the unknown and uncharted, we decided to keep the kids in an environment they were familiar with, and backed out of the sale.

Not for too long though :)
The last day of December 2020, we introduced our kids to our new home in the mountains.

And here we are. A week ago, we woke up to winter wonderland.
Once again, I felt an overwhelming sense of thankfulness and humbled. I’ve been feeling that A LOT this past month. Paul and I have been hugging randomly, in awe (cheesy, I know. Our older kids pretend to be all embarrassed by us, but I can 100% tell they love seeing us hug 😄

...At times I want to pinch myself because it does feel like a dream still.

I don’t take for granted, and never will, the ability to make this journey. I am grateful for a job that allows me to work from anywhere, and made it possible for our family to make such a move.
We miss family and friends, but embraced this God gift, and the adventure, with arms opened wide.
I am thankful for the people that so greatly shaped this journey and looking forward to create so much beauty, while we settle here and start calling this place home.
Come along for the ride! 😊
